Cape Town Flyby — Lion's Head ridge and birds in flight, Cape Town

Cape Town Flyby

After a full day of clouds and rain, mist and fog, a few of the Apostles peeked through to welcome us to Africa.

It was our first full day in Cape Town, the first stop on our introduction to the Mother Continent. The Twelve Apostles had spent most of the day hidden behind the weather, much like the top of Table Mountain. We never did see all twelve.

But for a moment, the clouds broke. A few of the Apostles appeared as three birds flew across the scene. It was a subtle and fleeting welcome for the newcomers who had only just arrived.
